Srirangam Temple Timings: According to legend, the Vimana of this temple was originally discovered by Lord Brahma while churning the ocean. It was brought to earth through the intense austerities performed by King Ikshvaku, an ancestor of Lord Rama. For many generations, the Vimana was passed down from king to king within their lineage. After Lord Rama’s victory over the demon Ravana, he entrusted the Vimana to Vibishana, Ravana’s brother. However, Lord Ganesha, disguised as a young boy, consecrated the Vimana on the earth, preventing it from being taken to Sri Lanka by King Vibishana.
