Kanipakam Temple Timings: Chittoor district is home to several renowned temples. It is one of which is the Kanipakkam Vinayaka Temple. Originally built in the 11th century CE by the esteemed Chola king, Kulothunga Chola I, the temple was later renovated in 1336 by the rulers of the Vijayanagara Empire.

What sets the Kanipakam temple apart are the fascinating legends surrounding it. It is said that the idol of Vinayaka (Ganesha) within the temple grows in size every year. Remarkably, the armor that was offered to the deity 50 years ago no longer fits, illustrating this mystical growth.

Known as the Shrine of Water, this historic temple is located in Irala Mandal, Chittoor district. The temple holds important religious importance, particularly due to its miraculous idol. Darshan: 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
