Sri Srungara Vallabha Swamy Temple: According to local people, the Sri Srungara Vallabha Swamy Temple, known as Tholi Tirupati, carries a unique importance attributed to Swami Dhruv. The fascinating tale grows when Suruchi, Dhruv’s stepmother, plans to block his path to the throne. Seeking comfort and guidance, Dhruva ventured on a penance journey, eventually leading him to the ashram of Sandilya Mahamuni.

Inquisitive about the penance of Lord Vishnu, Dhruva expressed his apprehension about not being able to witness the divine lights. Vishnumurti reassured him, saying, “Dear Dhruv, why should I be visible to you?” Thus, the spot where Swami Dhruv manifested transformed into a sacred stone. Standing at the temple’s entrance, Swami posed a question to viewers, reflecting a divine meeting.

The Divine Temple’s Origin and Unique Features

Locals believe that the Gods themselves erected the temple upon witnessing the sun’s radiance in the forest. Narada Maharshi is credited with establishing the presence of Lakshmi Devi, the goddess, alongside Swami. Sri Krishna Devaraya, a fervent devotee of Venkanna, graced the temple by placing an idol of Goddess Bhudevi. Stone inscriptions, still visible, bear testimony to the temple’s unique nature.

The Sri Srungara Vallabha Swamy Temple stands out for its unique features, portraying Lord Venkateswara Swamy in a smiling posture. The positioning of the conch and wheels differentiates it from the Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara Swamy statue. Within the temple premises, both a Shiva temple and a Vaishnava temple coexist, promoting a harmonious spiritual ambiance. Devotees carry the belief that bathing in Nuthi at the temple can bless childless couples with the gift of children. Monolithic artifacts, idols, and proper figures add to the temple’s allure.

Devotees can visit Tholi Tirupati during specific timings: 06:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 05:00 PM – 08:00 PM. The temple resonates with festive fervor during celebrations like Chaitra Shuddha Ekadashi, Dhanur Masam, Vasanthotsavam, and Brahmotsavam.

Those traveling by bus can reach Peddapuram (11 km), Samarlakota (14 km), or Kakinada (28 km).
